The Lower Wye Ramblers invite you to join them on Sunday November 12 for an 8.5-mile moderate walk. Starting at 10 am from St Briavels Castle (Park on the road near St Briavels Castle, and meet on the nearby green that overlooks the Wye Valley; Grid reference: SO 55810 04569; Nearest postcode: GL15 6RG; what3words: brilliant.warping.idea), the walk drops down the Wye Valley and then follows the Wye past Llandogo. After winding through a maze of old lanes, the route regains the high ground via a wooded valley to reach Hewelsfield, a hamlet picturesquely clustered around its sturdy church.

Please bring a drink, snack, and packed lunch with you. Suitable clothing and footwear (sturdy walking boots/shoes) should be worn for the walk.

For further information (e.g. meeting point for car sharing/directions to start point) and contact details for the walk leaders, go the group’s website (www.ramblers.org.uk/lower-wye; it is always a good idea to look on the website on the morning of a walk to check for any changes [e.g. cancellation due to weather, etc.]) or Facebook page.
