POLICE are appealing for information to locate 40-year-old Craig Parsons who absconded from Prescoed Prison, Usk yesterday (Thursday 26th April) at around 2pm.

Parsons is described as white, around 5ft 4 and of medium build with short brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a grey top with red writing on it, black tracksuit bottoms and black Nike Trainers. Parsons was convicted for burglary in 2017. He is not a registered sex offender but it’s believed there may be a potential risk due to the fact that the individual is no longer in the custody of the prison service.

Parsons has connections in the Torfaen and Newport areas and Gwent Police has activated its operational plan with the aim of locating him, with co-operation of the prison. If anyone has seen Craig Parsons or has any information about his whereabouts, call 101 quoting log 534 26/4/18.
