A MAN from Undy has been found guilty of seven counts of sexual offences against a child.
The defendant, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been found guilty of several counts of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity, attempted rape of a child under 13 and causing a child to watch or look at an image of sexual activity.
He was cleared of rape and possessing indecent images of children.
The jury was sent out for deliberation yesterday afternoon and returned their verdict today (13th November).
Newport Crown Court heard at this week’s trial how the man carried out a string of sexual assaults on the child over the course of four years.
The man has been remanded in custody and will be sentenced in Newport Crown Court on Friday 27th November.
