A CHEPSTOW creative communications agency has been recognised for its commitment to diverse and inclusive practices within the workplace.
OSP Healthcare, a healthcare focused communications and production agency, has been awarded an Exemplar Employer Award for its progressive and inclusive approach towards working practices, staff training and retention.
The award programme, which is run by gender equality charity, Chwarae Teg, showcases businesses that have successfully broken down barriers affecting women’s recruitment, retention and progression.
To qualify for an award, businesses must demonstrate evidence of a number of practices relating to positive workplace culture, including performance management, learning and development opportunities and flexible working.
Businesses can be eligible for three different levels of the award, representing organisations who are developing their cultural practices and those leading by example.
OSP Healthcare has been presented with a leading level award for their commitment to equal opportunities, implementation of new working practices that enable flexible working and enhanced recruitment strategy that will ensure inclusivity and diversity within the organistion.
Lydia Owen, Director at OSP Healthcare, said: “As employers, we found the programme gave us an opportunity to ask our employees for considered feedback, to see where we could make improvements across the business and action real change that would benefit our team as a whole.
“Since undertaking an MBO three years ago, we have surrounded ourselves with ambitious, hard-working and enthusiastic employees who want the business to succeed as much as we do. They consistently go the extra mile. This award proves that the effort we make to repay that commitment is worth it.”
Client Partner at Chwarae Teg, Helen Hare, added: “OSP Healthcare represents a progressive approach to modern working practices within a priority sector.
“The organisation has adopted a more flexible approach to working, and is seeing the benefits, with improved working relations and communication.”
Chwarae Teg provides free support to businesses looking to improve their diversity and working practices through Agile Nation 2, which is funded by the European Social Fund and Welsh Government.
