ST John's on-the-Hill pupils finished a busy half term with a pre-prep summer concert, parents' picnic and sports day.

The children performed Peter and the Wolf to a packed house and everyone in attendance agreed it was by far the best concert for a long time; the appearance by the Busy Bees was a particular highlight.

Parents were then invited to come prepared for a picnic on the school's sports field before the start of sports day. This was once again attended by many parents, grandparents and friends of St John's.

The children all competed in various races from running track races to novelty races and of course the day culminated in the ever-popular Strickland Relay and parent races. It was difficult to decide who was the more competitive; the children or the parents!
