CONCERN is rising for a 46-year-old Tutshill man who went missing from his home last Friday (24th August).
Jeremy Stent was last seen in Wyebank Road, heading towards Beachley Road, shortly before 9.30pm Friday night. Still missing at the time of going to print yesterday (28th August), he is described as being a slim, white man, 5ft 8ins tall with dark hair.
When last seen he was wearing blue jeans, a rust-coloured T-shirt and a blue cardigan.
The Severn Area Rescue Association (SARA) Beachley Lifeboat, Land Search and Rope Rescue Teams were all called out just before midnight on Friday, to support Gloucestershire Police and Chepstow Coastguard in a search in the Chepstow area.
SARA’s Lifeboat 3 conducted a search of the lower River Wye, while the group’s Land Team was joined by colleagues from SARA Tewkesbury and Newport Stations, and conducted a series of searches before being stood down at 4.30am.
The search resumed on Saturday morning at 9am, with some of the same team members involved. SARA Lifeboat 1 was deployed and the crew searched along the Wye, going ashore several times. Again a land search team operated in parallel. The SARA volunteers were all stood down by lunchtime.
SARA was involved in another callout on bank holiday Monday when Land Search Teams from Tewkesbury and Beachley were asked by Gloucestershire Police to help find a missing cyclist in the Forest of Dean. She was located safe and well, and both teams were stood-down whilst en route to the location.
If you see Jeremy or know where he is please call Gloucestershire Constabulary on 101 quoting incident 432 of 24th August.
