It's a confusing start for motorists this morning as unofficial reports reached the Beacon last night that Welsh Water works up Monnow Street are being delayed.

The one way system, due to last until mid-March, was scheduled to begin this morning as Welsh Water replace the water main in Monnow Street but there are reports that a delay may mean later this week.

Adding to the misery this morning are the traffic lights on Cinderhill Street following a water leak there and the news that the work will start on the Williamsfield Lane project today as well, despite a date of the 29th being originally put forward.
