CHILDREN at St John's on-the-Hill school enjoyed a rather messy cooking
session earlier this month.
When poor Miss Chidley was ill and not able to take one of her cooking clubs, catering manager Mr Sumner and pastoral deputy head teacher Mr Dobbie decided they would run it.
Within minutes the children were covered in flour, dough and sausage meat as they created interestingly-shaped sausage rolls.
They made plenty of the rolls which were very tasty so Mr Dobbie quickly offered them to parents as a peace treaty for the state of
their children's hair,
uniform and shoes!
