Consultation is continuing as to whether The Village Alive Trust, buildings preservation charity, can restore Grade II*-listed St Teilo’s Church, Llanarth for community use.
Questionnaires have been mailed, hand delivered and emailed to villagers and local people with some really supportive responses already received.
Copies of the questionnaire can be picked up at Extons, Raglan, by contacting the trust by email at [email protected] or by calling 01873 821418. The Trust has been granted time by the Church in Wales to undertake a feasibility study into the costs of rejuvenating the church which closed in 2013. As part of this study we need to know what people feel should happen to this landmark. Is this the generation that allows hundreds of years of community involvement to disappear as the building is sold for development?
The trust project will also be considering management of the still open churchyard at St Teilo’s so if you have relatives buried there you too may be interested in being consulted.
