WHITCHURCH primary school’s eco council were thrilled to discover that they had been awarded a gold medal in the 2015 Heart of England School in Bloom competition.

In a celebration assembly, attended by parents and members of the community, the children were presented with a beautiful cut glass trophy and certificate by Laura Russell, the assessor from Heart of England in Bloom. In addition, the school was successfully nominated for the school involvement award, the judges commenting on the variety and quality of the produce grown, sold and used to provide seasonal community lunches.
