First Minister Mark Drakeford, visited Monmouth on Friday July 14 to a fundraising dinner evening held at The Priory Rooms in Monmouth.

Amongst other guests were RuthJones MP & Jessica Morden MP and Leader of Monmouthshire County Council, Mary Ann Brocklesby.

The First Minister endorsed the prospective Labour candidate for Monmouth, Catherine Fookes, saying: “We have such a fantastic candidate in Catherine who brings the conversation about a better future onto the doorsteps. With Catherine as our inspiring candidate I am confident that Monmouthshire will play its part in gaining the enormous prize of a Labour Government in Westminster.”

Catherine, who is a county councillor for MCC said: “it was a fantastic evening at The Priory on Friday with special guests our First Minister Mark Drakeford MS, RuthJones MP & Jessica Morden MP plus lots of friends supporting our campaign to win Monmouthshire back for Labour.”
