SIR, Monmouth Lions Club wish to thank the proprietors and clientele of the following: Bigwell Fishery Redbrook, The Royal Oak, The Queen's Head, The Gatehouse, The Robin Hood and The Green Dragon. Their generous support of our Easter Egg Basket appeal enabled the club to donate just over £400 to Monmouth Shopmobility, this year's chosen local charity. We are also grateful to Emma Webster for obtaining, filling and dressing the baskets. In addition, it is the time to thank those customers – established and new – who support our regular bedding plant sale. The plants are due for delivery this weekend and the project should raise about £1,000 for our charity fund, sincere thanks and happy gardening. Mike Hargaden (Secretary of the Lions Club)
