On Sunday 23rd and 30th June members of Mitchel Troy, Lydart and Trellech communities cleared the lay-by and road verges of motorists discarded rubbish.
As usual 90 per cent of items discarded were beer and soft drink cans, fast food wrappers, used wet wipes, coffee cups, empty cigarette packets, empty spirits bottles and items of clothing.
Potentially, there are now three groups forming (Mitchel Troy, Lydart and Dingestow) and it would be nice if this could be extended in to the Trellech community. Anyone interested in setting this up should contact Tom Ward-Jackson via [email protected]u or by calling 07766 754894.
Thank you to everyone who took part in the recent clearance campaign.
Mike Moffatt (Trellech)
