A MAN accused of offering to supply heroin on multiple occasions, and of taking a loaded shotgun into a public place, has been remanded in custody pending a trial at Newport Crown Court.

Christopher Hill, of Welsh Street, Chepstow, appeared in Newport Magistrates Court on Thursday 28th May charged with five different counts of offering to supply heroin, one count of possessing a loaded shotgun in a public place and one count of possessing a firearm without a certificate.

Hill pleaded not guilty to all charges and prosecuting solicitor Mrs Yardley said that the severity of the accusations dictates that the case be sent to crown court.

Magistrates agreed and set the date for the hearing for Newport Crown Court on 11th June.

Hill has been remanded in custody.
