MONMOUTH’S exciting auction will be held at Bridges Community Centre on Saturday 14th May.
Viewing of the lots will take place from 9am to 11am.
The gavel is first raised after 11am and will not fall again and finally until about 4pm.
The green auction catalogue priced at £1 is available from St Mary’s Catholic Church in St Mary’s Street, Monmouth and from St Frances of Rome in Ross.
Tickets are also on sale in Bridges Community Centre and from David Harrison at 11 Monkswell Road, Monmouth or by calling 01600 772849.
The auction is being organised by about 80 helpers to raise money for the upkeep and maintenance of our two historic churches.
Food and drink are available all day and there is a magnificent giant food hamper to be won.
Thanks to readers of the Beacon and many generous parishioners, the auction has ample lots.
The catalogue typically holds 200 potential bargains, but on this occasion has 211 listed, plus an Addendum paper.
There are also another 70 lots which did not reach the catalogue in time.
These extra special bargains are the designated "Treasure Trove" and will be on sale outside Bridges main entrance.
A bit like a super car boot sale, with no reasonable offer refused.
David said: “Antiques, vintage, and household lots, we’ve got ’em on 14th May.
“Lucky Monmouth, come and get ’em.”
