MADAM,
I am sorry some people are being incorrectly told by EU campaigners that the Monmouth constituency “voted to remain”. This is not true. The local authority area of Monmouthshire voted by a narrow margin to stay in the EU but the Parliamentary constituency has very different boundaries.
The Monmouth constituency includes around 10,000 voters living in Torfaen, where there was a huge majority in favour of leaving the EU. I’m pleased people are demanding that MPs represent the views of voters. We cannot know for certain how the Monmouth constituency voted but we do know that Wales voted to leave the EU by 52.5 per cent (51.9 per cent in the UK).
If I am returned to Parliament, I will be absolutely committed to upholding the wishes of the electorate and delivering Brexit.

(Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Monmouth)
