This former observatory complete with a unique domed ceiling has been sold at auction for £82,000 over its guide price.
The Trellech property has been converted into a luxury bungalow and went up for auction with Paul Fosh Auctions at a guide price of £585,000.
Four people bid on the bungalow, with a total of 28 bids made, and it eventually sold for £667,000 - £82,000 more than its guide price.
The bungalow sits in three acres of gardens and woodlands.
Inside, the lounge is where the old observatory was, with a domed and vaulted ceiling.
Elsewhere in the property, there are four bedrooms, two bathrooms, two en-suite bathrooms, two kitchens and a central courtyard, making it suitable to be used as two homes.
Gemma Vaughan, of Newport-based Paul Fosh Auctions, said: "It’s a truly fabulous property located amid a serene and contemplative setting in historic Trellech.
"There was a great deal of interest in the former observatory ahead of the auction which was reflected over the period of the online sale.
"There were 31 people watching the property, with four bidders and 28 bids made before the property sold for an impressive £82,000 more than the guide of £585,000."
