CHEPSTOW Racecourse was broken into on Christmas day with thieves escaping with boxes of alcohol.

A Gwent Police spokesperson said: “At approximately 9.20am on 26th December 2017 we received a report of a burglary at Chepstow Racecourse.

“Sometime between 6.10pm and 6.30pm on 25th December 2017 it’s believed two unknown people have entered the bar area at the racecourse and have taken a number of boxes of spirits and wine.
