Rotary Monmouth will be running its annual Bonfire and Fireworks display on Tuesday, November 5 in the Town field alongside the Rowing Club in Old Dixton Road.
Gates open at 6pm and Mayor David Evans will light the bonfire at 6:30. The fireworks display will start at just before 7pm and promises to be even better than last year, with spectacular effects and colours.
Danters will be will be bringing children’s rides, along with various stalls and serving burgers and hot dogs. And for the last event of their year, M&M Ices will be providing ice creams.
Despite rising costs, the organisers have decided to keep the entrance prices at last years’ level. At £6 for adults, £3 for children and £15 for families (2 adults + 2 children). This represents exceptional value for money.
All money raised from the event will be donated to charitable organisations supported by Rotary Monmouth. This year they are supporting St Davids Hospice Care, Velindre Breast Cancer Research Team, Shelter boxes, Wales Air Ambulance, Bridges Community Centre and also many other smaller charities and good causes.
Rotary Monmouth meets each Wednesday evening. If you would like to help out, or take part in events, or would like to know more about Rotary in Monmouth please contact Norman Williams at [email protected]
