Monmouthshire Food Partnership is offering small grants of up to £200 to help you and your community get a food growing activity up and running this spring.

They want to support projects that open up access to fresh fruit and veg while connecting people to where their food comes from – all ideas are welcome, and the grants can cover everything from buying seeds and compost to getting hold of the tools you need.

Ideally, they looking for food-based community projects that: are focused on food growing : have potential to be long term

are community led; bring people or organisations together in collaboration; are climate and nature-friendly; encourage a positive attitude to diversity.

The grant is open to not-for-profit groups and settings.

If you want to get growing with people from households or your neighbourhood and you don’t have a group bank account, you can work with and apply for the grant through a not-for-profit group that does have one. If this proves too much of a barrier, please get in touch and they can see if other options are available. The closing date for applications is 19 February 2024.
