GLOUCESTERSHIRE Police is appealing to the public for any information regarding thefts in Tutshill and Sedbury.

Four houses have been burgled in the Tutshill and Sedbury areas and it is thought that these crimes were committed during the evening of Saturday 4th April.

Thieves forced entry to all four properties and an untidy search of the rooms was conducted, leaving the houses in a mess.

Police suspect a group of at least four males may have committed these crimes and they have predominantly stolen jewellery.

Crimes of this nature are extremely distressing and can have a very negative impact on the victim – many of whom are elderly and vulnerable.

A spokesperson said: "During the longer days we appeal to people to be vigilant; to report any suspicious behaviour and to securely protect property.

"Make sure doors and windows are locked and that the property looks occupied."

Anyone with information can contact police by calling 101 and quoting the crime reference number 7559/15.
