WELSH history body Cadw has been given permission to fell two ash trees and undertake other works at the Bulwark Camp Hillfort.

All the trees are on the edge of the camp, now a recreation ground, bordering industrial units on the Bulwark Industrial Estate. Trees on the site are subject to preservation orders.

The area is a late Iron Age site and made up of an enclosure with a double bank and ditch bordering the River Wye. It is located off the A48 at the end of Alpha Road in Chepstow.
